The issue of Lipro Engineering B.V.

The Chemelot-based customer of Lipro Engineering B.V. wanted a special goods elevator applicable in an ATEX environment. Realization included the conversion of an existing specially developed control system to contemporary ATEX standards. Lipro Engineering B.V. had the desire to remain in control. Therefor the control panel was to be made by our customer themselves. Our brief was for fast and flexible product delivery.

The solution we delivered for the Chemelot end customer

Controlin converted the electrical part supplied by Lipro Engineering B.V. into an ATEX solution. This solution consists of the control cabinet, control boxes, emergency stops, junction boxes and cable glands. In order to give the customer the freedom and flexibility in keeping control of its own control panel, Controlin applied an OEM solution from Emerson Appleton.

Effects and benefits of the implementation

• Quick product delivery on a one-stop-shop basis;
• Supply of a custom Ex d enclosure from Emerson Appleton;
• This OEM solution allowed Lipro Engineering B.V. to design and build the interior of its own control panel;
• After construction, an on-site inspection performed by Emerson Appleton.
