The 55PV series load break switches have a power range from 100A to 2000A and are designed to provide maximum safety at voltages up to 1000V. To ensure machine and human safety, these load break switches feature innovative load delaying and circuit breaking technology. Features of these load break switches include high thermal and dynamic strength, an indicator for when the switch is on, and high resistance to moist heat.

The 55PV series of load break switches are manufactured to IEC 60947-3 standards and has four different types. This type is the B4 variant, consisting of a 2-pole version for currents between 100A and 315A and a 4-pole version for currents between 400A and 500A.
